Flat Kadayif



Instructions:
# Prepare the syrup at first. Boil the mixture of sugar and water. When it reaches a low consistency, add lemon juice in it and boil the mixture for 5 more minutes. Remove the pot from the stove and let it cool down.
# Break 2 or 3 eggs into a deep bowl and whisk them well. Pour the milk into a separate bowl.
# Dip the kadayif into milk at first, then remove it from the milk urgently. Strain it, then dip into the whisked egg.
# And then, place it into hot oil. Fry both sides of it, until they turn into pink. Remove from the oil and place onto paper towel.
# Put the flat kadayif into syrup, before it turns to tepid. When it soaks the syrup, remove it from the syrup and place onto service plate.
# Sprinkle pounded walnut all over and serve.


Note: Flat kadayif is called as "stone kadayif (tas kadayif)" in some regions of Turkey.
